Taylor Swift wanted to be in the Twilight movie New Moon, but the director turned her down
Taylor Swift passed up an insane film appearance, and we really want a second to deal with what we've passed up.
She might have showed up on screen in TV shows like CSI and New Girl, as well as ritzy 2010 romcom Valentine's Day,
yet the pop symbol might have seemed onscreen an immense piece of Noughties film culture: Twilight.
Chris Weitz, head of The Twilight Saga: New Moon - featuring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, and the second in five movies committed to the hit books - has affirmed that the film nearly had a Taylor Swift appearance.
In a new meeting on The Twilight Effect, a webcast facilitated by entertainer and Twilight star Ashley Greene, he focused on his choice to eventually turn Taylor down when her representative came calling.
"Taylor Swift and I had a similar specialist at that point, and he said, 'Taylor might want to be in this film — not as a result of you, however she's a Twi-hard,'" Weitz said.
It turns out Swift wasn't in any event, going for screen time here, she simply needed to be essential for the vampire universe that we were all, as a matter of fact, fixated on around then.
