The actor, 43, cut his hair to support a cause close to his heart
Documented the process in a video posted on Instagram on September 5.
"Give me the braids," she said to the man cutting her hair before picking up her trimmed strands.
"Shave. Ohhhhh man! I didn't even feel the wind in there."
While going through her hair transformation, Momoa encouraged her followers to eliminate single-use plastics from their lives.
"I'm tired of those plastic bottles. We have to stop," the star continued.
"Plastic forks, everything. It just goes into our land. It goes into our ocean."
Right now I'm here in Hawaii looking at things in our ocean, it's so sad.
So please, whatever you can do to eliminate single use plastics in your life, help me...plastic bottles are ridiculous.
Bring the canteen or now everyone is making aluminum which is great. So Alha. We continue.
This isn't the first time Momoa has raised awareness about the issue.
In 2019, he shaved off his signature beard and discussed the need to use recycled aluminum.
At the time, Momoa also announced the launch of his company Mananalu, which sells drinking water in aluminum bottles.
