Chelsea have sacked Thomas Tuchel

Six days after spending more time in a single transfer window than any club in history, Chelsea have sacked their manager Thomas Tuchel.

Six days after he drew the curtain on a transfer window in which he spent more money than any Premier League club in history.

After spending more than $300 million on new players in just a few months, Chelsea have fired their coach Thomas Tuchel.

The sacking of Tuchel, 49, was confirmed in a statement released just hours after the club lost 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League campaign.

That defeat followed a stuttering start to the domestic season when Chelsea took on expensive Leeds United

And in addition to a comfortable defeat to Southampton, he saw a draw against Tottenham Hotspur.
